Your thoughts have been swirling. Deep down, you know there are things to be done. You want to make changes in your life. There are decisions to make but you procrastinate.

Take a moment to pay close attention to the excuses you generate and regurgitate in your head. Go ahead and write them out (every single one of them).

After each excuse, answer this question ‘what would happen if I overcame this fear?’ I use the word fear instead of excuses because the underlying issue is fear.

Fear is the prolific barrier that stops you from:
– Moving away from those destructive/debilitating negative thoughts
– Leaving your comfort zone
– Directing your life to a different path
– Ignoring/blocking out your constant worry about what others might say
– Believing in yourself, your strength and your capabilities

Your barrier is the baggage you drag around. There is no magic wand that will ditch the baggage. You have to be willing to take the first 🐾 baby steps to acknowledge it and deal with it.

Sounds easy? Absolutely not!

– It’s going to be scary
– There will be doubts and setbacks
– You may lose some people who no longer fit in your life
– You may just save your life

Support is very crucial when you decide to overcome your fears. Reach out to a friend, professional, clergy or anyone you trust and know will be supportive.
